The movie is set in a sleepy, laid back rural world that is stuck in the past, in great contrast to the dynamic, fast-paced, ever-changing elements of the urban world.
It is in this rural world that we meet a Multiple Sclerosis patient who is beginning to notice that his mobility is becoming limited. Despite all of his problems, he continues fighting the progression of his disease.
In addition, while he is suffering from the disease, he is always accompanied by his friends, from the owner of a small cattle ranch to two old ladies who can still remember the bombs from the war (Ramona and Amada), as he lives his life in a retirement home in a small town. He and all of his friends share a great strength when facing adversity.
